I noticed that a divorce coaching colleague of mine had written about the fact that declaring yourself as divorced on application forms that could be used to initiate a credit check, could actually harm your chances of getting credit or achieving a contract with, for example, a mobile phone company.
She went on to say that her 'evidence' was only gained from hearsay and personal research, but when clients had completed a form as a 'divorced' person, and had the application turned down, when the same clients completed the same form as a 'single' person (with all other details remaining the same), the application was successful. How interesting is that?
She went on to say that she was not suggesting that people lie about their status on their application forms - just that they think very carefully about their status when applying for credit/contracts, etc.
It's thought that here in the UK alone, at least 1.5 million adults are affected by Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). And I'm one of them - but, fortunately, I'm only an occasional sufferer. It's usually on days that I don't get enough exercise and it only happens in the evening, when I'm relaxing. It's certainly not severe enough to lead me to seek treatment but it definitely prompted me to read this article on RLS from MSN.com.
The transitions of life's second half offer a special kind of opportunity to break with the social conditioning that has carried us successfully this far and to do something really new and different. It is a season more in tune than the earlier ones with the deeper promptings of the spirit.

Why do the rich have better health than the poor? Why do they enjoy greater longevity and less disease? Why is social class a better predictor of health than family history? Find out in Be As Healthy As The Wealthy, an interesting article for MSN Men's Health by Laurence Roy Stains.
How fabulous is Tina Turner? She turns 70 next year and, despite her retirement from 'the business' in 2000, she's back and preparing for the launch of a world tour on October 1. And she doesn't take herself too seriously as you can see in this interview with Entertainment Tonight's Mark Steines.
What can you do if your flight is cancelled to a) minimise your inconvenience and b) get you on another flight as soon as possible?
Quite a lot, actually, as you'll see in this article by Samantha Bomkamp for MSN Travel...
What skills should a woman of the noughties have mastered? According to MSN Life and Style, there are at least 30 - including walking in both stilettos and flats, saying 'No' and putting flat-pack furniture together.
Have a look at all 30 and see what you think... Do you agree? Disagree? Would you add anything? (Personally, I'm not sure that leaving the house without make-up on counts as a skill...)
Watch how your body turns food into fat, expanding your omentum (the 'apron' that hangs off your stomach) and your waistline in this short (01.24 minute) video from Oprah's Dr Oz. And how much better at human biology would I have been if they'd only had videos like this when I was at school?
